*****Notices/News*****
*****October through July fills up fast, so if you have a preferred date in mind, it's best to book now to secure your spot!
*****October 31st 2024, Despite the recent hurricanes causing some damage, we're back on the water and the fishing has been fantastic! The recent rains have cooled the water temperatures, creating ideal conditions for inshore fishing.
Big schools of Redfish are making their presence known and are expected to stick around through late November. We've been consistently catching Redfish, Snook, Trout, Pompano, and Spanish Mackerel on our trips. The go-to baits have been shrimp, whitebait, cut bait, and jigs.
Just a reminder: Snook and Redfish are catch and release only. If you're looking for an exciting day on the water, now's the time to book your trip!
*****October 31st 2024,The windy weather has posed some challenges for offshore trips, but we've still managed to get out and the fishing has been outstanding post-hurricanes. The offshore bite has been steady, with Snapper being particularly eager to bite. We’ve been bringing in a mix of Lane, Gray, Yellowtail, and Vermilion Snapper.
In addition to Snapper, we’ve also had success with African Pompano, Cobia, Kingfish, Amberjack, Triggerfish, and Key West Grunts. Just a note: Red Grouper is currently closed until the start of the year, so while we're still catching them, they must be released for another day.
With great weather on the horizon and plenty of fun on the water, returning with a cooler full of fish for dinner is just the cherry on top! If you’re interested in joining us, now is the perfect time to book your trip!
***** April 8th 2024 NOAA just anonoced Red Grouper will close July 1st 2024- December 31st 2024!!!!
***** Just a reminder: gratuity is not included in the price of your trip. A customary tip of 20% is greatly appreciated and goes a long way in showing your appreciation for the service. Thank you!
***** Redfish and Snook are catch and release only on my charters, even when they're in season, to help our fishery thrive. Many guides in Southwest Florida are adopting this approach for the same reason. We can keep a few Trout, and possibly some Snapper, Sheepshead, and Pompano, but that's about it for inshore trips. If you're looking for a meat trip, I recommend booking an offshore charter instead!

Offshore Fishing Charters
On our Boca Grande offshore fishing charters, we accommodate up to 5 guests, though only 4 will fish at a time. Trips range from 12 to 50 miles out, depending on your chosen length, with ride times varying from 20 minutes to over 2 hours based on trip duration and sea conditions. We’ll engage in bottom fishing, and may also include trolling and drifting bait.
The Gulf of Mexico offers a diverse array of fish and structures, allowing us to fish over rock ledges, reefs, and wrecks. Our target species include Snapper (Mangrove, Red, Lane, Vermillion, and Yellowtail) and Grouper (Red, Gag, Black, and Scamp). Additionally, you may encounter Triggerfish, Cobia, Mahi-Mahi, Barracuda, Porgies, and more. Fish size and species may vary based on the distance of your trip.
For more information, please check the trip details page or contact Captain Jeff. Book today!
Nearshore Fishing Charters
On our Boca Grande nearshore fishing charter, we accommodate up to 5 guests, though only 4 will fish at a time. This trip is perfect for those who want to experience offshore fishing while staying closer to shore. You'll still enjoy the Gulf of Mexico and have the chance to catch some fish!
Typical catches include Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Grouper, Gag Grouper, Grunts, and Squirrel Fish. Additionally, you may encounter Shark, Bonita, Kingfish, Barracuda, Cobia, Permit, and Amberjack.
Please note that this is not a true offshore trip into deep waters. While you may catch smaller fish, keeper Grouper and large Snappers are unlikely. The bite can be slower, and not all catches will be keepers, but we usually bring home a few for dinner. It's always a great time on the water!
If you have any questions, please refer to the trip details page or contact Captain Jeff.
Inshore Fishing Charters
Our guided Boca Grande inshore and backcountry fishing charters accommodate up to 2 anglers in the shallow, protected waters of Gasparilla Sound and Charlotte Harbor. For larger groups, trips for up to 4 guests can be arranged using our bigger boat—just contact Captain Jeff for details.
We primarily fish along the mangrove shorelines and abundant grass flats of Florida's beautiful southwest coast, targeting species such as Redfish, Snook, Seatrout, Mangrove Snapper, and Sheepshead. Depending on the fishing conditions and your skill level, we use a mix of artificial baits and lures, as well as live and cut baits.
Since we remain in protected waters, these trips also provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy the stunning, undeveloped shorelines and encounter an abundance of local wildlife, including egrets, bald eagles, ospreys, dolphins, manatees, and more.
If you have any questions, please refer to the trip details page or contact Captain Jeff.
